L is for lululemon!

Hi Friends!  How was everyone's weekend?  Good I hope!

We escaped to Walnut Creek for the weekend for our friend's birthday and of course, some much-needed shopping!  :)  Got some fun stuff for the home and kitchen, but I was very excited to finally take the plunge and purchase my very first lululemon hoodie!

Some of you may know that I've been contemplating lululemon for awhile...in fact, the first time I went into a store, hubby ended up leaving with a new pair of pants and I left empty-handed!  I don't know if it was the sticker shock that scared me away or just being overwhelmed with all the options!  But so many of my friends absolutely love their stuff and my husband can't stop talking about it...so I figured it was time!  PLUS...we're getting a TON of snow this week (what gives Spring?) so I know I'll get a lot of great use out of it.

After tons of browsing around, I decided on the Scuba Hoodie...but not just any Scuba Hoodie...I went for the special edition Scuba Hoodie "Travel Bag" version!  It's super thick and the color is really stunning in person!  I also love the little details...the thumbholes to keep my hands warm, the cap on the zipper...so it doesn't rub against my skin, and the different colored lining.

I know it seems like a silly thing, but I think it's kind of neat to have something like this...especially for when we travel!  And the lululemon logo looks really neat too!  :)

This hoodie runs for $108--which is a tad more expensive than the regular hoodie at $98, but again, it's a really thick, great quality sweater and just great for this cold weather!  I might consider buying a lighter version for the summer.

Of course, hubby couldn't leave empty-handed...

soooo I got him some "Game On" boxer briefs...in camo color!  Haha!! He's such a lululemon snob now!  :)

So tell me...what do you think of lululemon?  Worth the investment?  Any great pieces you love and would recommend? I would love to hear!

  1. I am OBSESSED with Lulu. There is a Lulu bag with my lunch in it on my desk right now and a drawer at home dedicated to my outfits. I do Pilates and I can't think of anything else I would rather wear. They wash really well and last forever! Perfect investment.

  11. Totally giggling about the hubby and being a Lululemon snob...so awesome...but it always seems like that old addage "you get what you pay for" is always right. When you spend a little more, you get a LOT more...(c: You might have another Lululemon snob on your hands now! (c;

  12. I think Lulu makes really cute stuff, but for me, I just can't justify spending that kind of dough on workout clothes (note: the stuff I buy there would strictly be worn to pilates). I've bought a ton of workout stuff from Gap Body, and have been really happy with it! I'd rather spend the cash I'd inevitably spend at Lululemon on shoes and other clothes. :)

  13. Thanks everyone! I really do think I'll get a lot of use out of it...not just for working out, so to me the investment is 100% worth it! Admittedly, most of my other workout clothes are from Target! It's all about balance right? :)

  15. I love Lulu but I also love the brand Lucy, because they make workout pants in navy! I think they be a tad less expensive than Lulu but not much. I think the key is to not dry the pants after you wash them, they will last much longer and won't start to snag. I think I may wear my yoga pants too much, as Nick begs me to change into something other than black spandex :)

  21. So I accidently deleted that last post, but yes, aren't those sandals and that cover up amazing? I think I need them, too! And I LOVE Lululemon. My boyfriend calls all my lulu my magic pants because they magically make you look skinnier :) TOTALLY worth the investment!

  22. I like lululemon a lot. I have a few things for when I do yoga and also a jacket that my mom got me. The prices are a bit out of control though! They have an outlet in Orlando that I'm going to hit up when I down there. I've heard of people getting great deals!
