Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

'Tis the season for all things pumpkin'ny! I personally love chocolate oatmeal cookies any time of year, so adding pumpkin puree to a batch just seems right!

This recipe claims to make a more "crispy" cookie, instead of the more "cakey" kind that tend to come along with pumpkin puree. I'm not totally convinced all the extra work made a difference but they are still super good! You can find my last recipe here!

Find the recipe here.

Have you made anything with pumpkin in it yet? I've got the rest of a can that needs a home! :)

Snake Earrings + Tote...just got it and LOVE it!

Fall is in full swing here and I am loving all the sweaters and boots right about now! My big fall investment are these jeans and this tote. It's perfect for work and is a great neutral color! I also got it monogrammed with my initials which makes it seem more like a keepsake piece.

Friday Links

Happy Friday! And guess what?? We broke ground on our new house {which is right next door to our current house} and the walls are starting to fly up! It's SO exciting to watch the progress every day! Fingers crossed the weather holds for a bit longer!

That being said, the news of the fires around us in wine country are just devastating. The stories like this one and this one just break my heart. Here are some of the ways you can help.

And not to get too dark,  but I thought this video was super powerful in honor of Suicide Awareness Day.

Ok, back to our regular program...'tis the season for everything pumpkin! Do you agree with this assessment of the best of the best?

Loving these sneakers...but what color to buy?

If you're looking for a new book to read this fall...

I feel like everyone {and their mom} is talking about this vacuum! And now I want one! Is it really as amazing as everyone says??

Love this top to transition you from fall to winter...what is it about velvet this time of year??

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Trip to Apple Hill

This past weekend, we ventured down to Apple Hill for our annual trip!

We always start our day at O'Halloran's Apple Ranch for pumpkin + apple picking...and some good photo opps! It's a bit off the beaten path so we usually luck out with minimal crowds.

Next, we stopped at Apple Ridge Farms for apple cider donuts! I've also heard amazing things about High Hill Ranch. which serves apple cider milkshakes and a variety of apple cider donuts, like with sprinkles on top...next time!

Next, was Delfino Farms which is a gorgeous property overlooking the hills and vineyards. We got hand pies and face painting!

Our last stop was Boeger Winery, which is really the ideal last stop as it's kid-friendly and...they sell wine. So yes, it was the perfect end to our kid-crazed day! They have sand pits with tractors and a huge grassy lawn for a picnic. Their barbera and sauvignon blanc is amazing!

Have you been to Apple Hill before? What's your favorite spot!

Friday Finds

Fall is in the air and the weather has been reflecting it lately! We are in for some majorly fun fall activities this weekend, including Oktoberfest, Fish Festival and Apple Hill for pumpkin picking and apple cider donuts! Yay!

Here are some recent finds worth mentioning:

My pullover is new and is perfect for this transitional weather.

Speaking of transitions, we are making the transition to a booster seat for Ethan. We just received this version courtesy of a new-to-me site, Wikibuy. This site does all the hard work for you by price shopping for the best deal. Super neat, right?

These boss boots are SO cute! Definitely on my wishlist!

This San Francisco Staycation is going to inspire my next vacation!

Loving this rustic Halloween inspiration!

What do you think of the furry mule trend? Those are super expensive, but THESE are a total knock-off and are super cheap!

Looking for the perfect shades of gray for our new house. Do you have a favorite?

Hope you have a wonderful fall weekend!
