Pre-Fall Pretties

I've been keeping my eye on some pretty pieces for Fall and thought I would share!  I could pretty much wear all of this now and be happy and make slight modifications come next month for the cooler temps!

What has been catching your eye lately?

Bump Progression #2

I love a bump progression, don't you?  It's fun to look back and see how I grew...and of course, realize that grey appeared to my go-to color!

You can read all about my second pregnancy here.  And if you want to reference my first pregnancy, start here.

Our Weekend

We had a great, laid back weekend that is definitely worthy of an update!

First of all, can you even stand the cuteness here?  They're still the best of friends!

Friday night was our anniversary--so we escaped for a date night!  I loved the rose' at Jimmy's Bar.  And I wish I took more photos but if you follow me on Snapchat {schuelove} you can see more of our adventures!

Wyatt is constantly on the move these days, and by move, I mean rolling!

Saturday we hit the beach!

Ethan is getting more brave these days--especially with a friend at his side!

And Wyatt has a girlfriend in Emerson these days!

Sunday, we went to a concert in the park!  It's the golf course right by our house and it was SO much fun!  Ethan was running around and dancing and the parents got to chill while listening to mellow music!

The band even had the kids jump up on stage!

And the view wasn't bad either!

Overall, it was a great weekend!  I always wish it was a little longer!

Anniversary by Year Gift Ideas

This past Friday was our sixth wedding anniversary {you can see our wedding photos here!}.  I always struggle with gift ideas but love the idea of following the traditional gift themes.  Some of them, however, are a little odd, so I hope this helps you think outside the box if you find yourself in the same quandary!

1 Year: Paper

Personalized stationary is a great gift for the first anniversary.  You can personalize it with your new monogram or names.  Another idea could be tickets to a fun show or ball game!

2 Year: Cotton

I don't care who you are, new sheets are always a good idea!  And these are my absolute FAVORITE!!  They're Pure Beech Sateen and they are so so soft.  They feel like a million bucks but they are at a great price point.  This would be a sure winner for a second anniversary gift.

3 Year: Leather

This handsome leather strapped watch is unisex so you can both have the gift of leather.  I also love the idea of a weekender bag to get away for a quick trip!

4 Year:  Fruits & Flowers

There are a couple ways to have fun with this theme, without going the obvious route.  Though, let me be clear, a bouquet of flowers is always a great anniversary gift, regardless of the year!  ;)  But some other ideas are a pretty new bottle of citrusy perfume {guy version is a favorite too!}, a nice candle or a fruity wine.

5 Year: Wood

There are a lot of directions to go with wood, but I tend to think of terms of practicality!  Whether it's new kitchen utensils or tools, like this handsome cutting board, there are a lot of options.  Another fun one might be a special bassinet...which can be a keepsake for your baby and grandbabies!  ;)

6 Year: Candy

This one is easy...but there are some fun ways to take it to the next level.  I love specialty candy and Nordstrom now sells Dylan's Candy Bar and Sugarfina, which makes those treats a little more accessible!  Yum!

7 Year: Copper + Wool

For something fun, I love this copper coffee set!  Super fancy, don't you think?  I also love this copper cheese set.  However, if you're looking for something more practical, you might go the wool route and buy a new area rug, like this or this!

8 Year: Bronze

Keeping in the same vein of the copper gift year, I love these bronzed cheese knives...which would pear great with a unique cheese and a nice bottle of wine!  Another idea might be to update your bed with a handsome bronzed nailhead headboard.

9 Year: Pottery

Nine years post wedding likely means that you have some chipped dinnerware, so this is a great time to update your plates or add some new bowls or dessert plates in to mix it up!

10 Year: Tin

Tin?!  Other than a play on words, I don't get this gift idea.  But in the spirit of this post, I love this recipe tin that would make a great accompaniment with a BIG kitchen appliance like a mixer, juicer, or a Nespresso machine!  Also pans or a new knife set is a nice way to splurge {albeit, not very romantic!}.  Or diamonds...diamonds seem appropriate for a big milestone like ten years!!  ;)

I hope this helps and that you are all enjoying the weekend!!

Happy 7 Months Wyatt!

Our sweet little Wy Guy is seven months old today!  This last month was a complete blur, being smack dab in the middle of summer, but I have to say that this is also my most favorite stage of babyhood.  Wyatt is old enough to really have his own little personality...squawking whenever one of us enters the room and always locking eyes with us--me in particular. He's sitting up and playing and loves watching his big brother.  But he's still a little baby...I love that he snuggles and is not mobile yet.  He still enjoys his swing and smells SO heavenly...I just love giving him kisses on his soft cheeks.

This past month we had some milestone:

Introduced solids this past month: baby oatmeal, sweet potatoes and fruit pouches
Sitting up pretty solidly on his own now
Sits in the main part of his stroller
Rolls a ton
Makes a clicking noise with his tongue
Starting to babble
Sleeping pretty well through the night
On 100% formula as of 6 months
Can put his pacifier back in his mouth on his own

I am of course biased, but I just think he such a handsome little guy and he's so so alert all the time.  He LOVES when his daddy nuzzles his neck...he will just crack up.  And Ethan can make him laugh too.  He's less and less content being on his back, whether for a diaper change or to play.  You can tell he wants to be on the go and we are pretty sure he has a bad case of FOMO.  This kid has to be in the middle of the action.

I am trying to take it all in, but of course, I am so excited for him to get bigger and more fun for Ethan.  They are pretty darling together right now though.  I am sure that the day they are rough-housing around the house I will kick myself for wishing the baby away!  ;)

Happy seven months to our sweet little boy!

Life Lately // AKA Life with Two Kiddos!

I used to have it all figured out.  I posted five days a week on this blog...worked...worked out...and enjoyed "my" time.  And then I had kids...and all hell broke loose!!  ;)

But in all seriousness, you've probably been wondering what the heck I've been doing and the truth is, I'm just surviving over here!  Life with two kiddos is a game changer...oh, and working full-time too!  Notice, I haven't mentioned my husband??  Don't worry, he's here...but we're in full on survival mode these days.

I had a blogger friend email me the other day, asking how I do it all.  And the simple answer is, I don't.  Not even close!  But here's what I told her:

First of all, you are one amazing lady and you need to remind yourself of that every single day! Working full-time, being a wife and mom full-time, AND trying to blog regularly is not easy!

I've decided that I can do it all, just not all at once...does that make sense??

I don't have time to blog every day right now...just not gonna happen.  But I do try to commit to twice a week and I don't beat myself up if I can't do even that.  It's life.  Work is SO hard right now...like really, really hard, but I'm committed and it's ultimately up to me to manage my time.  I try to wrap up at 5pm every night and be present when I get home. Ryan and I split after work duties...he cooks, I play/bathe/and attempt to feed dinner  Oh and we have a house cleaner that comes every other week.  Best thing ever.  We can't really afford her but we refuse to turn back because it is SO helpful!  She does laundry, dishes and cleans...it's a life saver.

My best advice?  Breathe! And don't feel guilty.  Oh, and it's Friday...have a glass of wine!! ;)

And then, I read Little Baby Garvin's post and literally felt like I had nothing to complain about!!  :)  Whew, three kids sounds fun, doesn't' it?!!

Oh and I also read Cup of Jo's post and decided wine is the answer to all things!

Funny how a change of perspective cures all, amiright?!

So anyway, forgive me for my absence, but know I am here and I still love you all!  Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (schuelove) for more regular updates!

Back to School // Pre-School Style

Even though Ethan started pre-school this past June, "back to school" time is around the corner, which means lots of cute fall clothes!  I always love Gap for their fun and preppy style, but also love the Peek brand from Nordstrom...have you heard of it?  Ethan has a ton of their clothing and it's super soft and durable.  Who says boy clothes aren't fun to shop for?!

Have you started Back to School shopping yet?

Tomorrow is the Last Day! #nsale

I've already shared my favorite picks from the Nordstrom Sale, but since it ends TOMORROW, I thought I would go back in one more time to point out some last minute scores {find my favorite picks here!}.

Love this easy t-shirt, especially for fall!

I love Joe's Jeans and these are high-waisted which is great to prevent a muffin-top.  Plus, they're super stretchy and soft!

Such a fun, easy dress {it comes in four colors!} that you can throw on with a pair of sandals now, or with leggings and boots come fall.

Ear jackets are such a fun trend and these come in both gold and silver.

How cute is this plaid coat for fall?

I know this is a splurge item, but it's rare that Chloe ever goes on sale and this is such a beautiful bag--it's definitely worth the investment!

Have you shopped the sale yet?
