Gift Guide: For the Kiddos

Our playroom is literally exploding with toys...to the point where it's a little sickening! They have so many and rarely play with them, instead opting to build forts and make projects.  So this year, we want to be more conscious...it's a great time to clean out, donate and focus more on necessities and experiences.

That being said, here's what I have on their wish lists:

Blockitecture Blocks: We actually discovered this set of blocks during our trip to NYC. Ethan keeps going back to them...they require some technique and creativity. And while this is a toy, I love that they're wooden, and not plastic!

Lite Brite Magic Screen: Did anyone else have one of these growing up? So nostalgic and again, I love that it promotes creativity!

Star Wars Galaxy Backpack: How awesome is this backpack? And it's currently 40% off which is a deal! Love this darling tote for the girls!

Pompom Beanie: We're always in need of warm beanies this time of year! Love the colors and pom detail on this one! Also love this one for the ladies!

Flik Flak Watch: This is the second year in a row where Ethan is asking for a watch. Last year, we got him a cheap plastic one that broke a week in. I grew up with Swatch watches and love the idea of passing down the tradition to the boys.

Puffer Jacket: Another necessity for the winter! Also love this non-hooded option. More colors here.

Sleeping Bag: Ethan is getting to an age where I think he'll be more interested in sleep-overs soon...whether it's in his brother's room or at a friend's house. I adore this print...and it can be personalized! For the girls, I LOVE this mermaid option!

Hunter Rain Boots: How adorable are these?? And they're on sale. AND they come in great colors!

The Ultimate Book of Airplanes + Airports: I feel like kids can never have enough books! This book looks darling with bright-colored graphics!

Sneakers: The boys run through sneakers pretty quickly so a new pair is always a good idea. Also loving this pair for the girls!

Tempera Paint Markers: These apparently dry in 90 seconds but look like paint! Would be good to purchase with this.

What's on your kid's wish list this season?

Our Thanksgiving 2017

This year, we spent Thanksgiving in Scottsdale. We had gorgeous weather and lots of family time!

Let's start with the weekend before though! We surprised Ryan's grandma for her 80th birthday in San Diego! The boys enjoyed lots of time in the pool and at the zoo! We also got to meet the newest addition to our family, baby Charlotte! The boys were totally smitten with her!

The boys checking out the lions with Grandma!

Cousins!

Ok, on to our Scottsdale trip! Ethan spent a majority of the time in the pool there as well! We had a big Thanksgiving dinner with family...23 adults total!

The airport had a wall where guests could write down what they're thankful for + tons of dogs that were there simply to be pet. They even handed out baseball cards with the dogs background on them. So cute! This pup's name is Ginger! ;)

Baby Charlie's first dip in the pool!

Thanksgiving Day! My dress is from Free People if you're interested!

The Schue Fam!

Pretty palm trees at Scottsdale Quarter, all lit up!

When we got back home, we decorated the Turkey gingerbread that we received from my mom...pretty cute!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Gift Guide: For Her

Fa la la lala, it's the most wonderful time of the year!! Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?! And Christmas will be here before you know it!

Each year, I craft a gift guide for the whole family...usually starting with the subject I'm most familiar with! ;) I like to think that I would love anything on this list...whether is practical or fun, they're all worth adding to your list! So without further adieu...here is the gift guide for all the women in your life...moms, grandmas, sisters, aunts, best friends, co-workers...the list goes on!

Brush Cleaning Mat: Admittedly, I do not clean my brushes NEARLY as often as I should. Somehow, I feel like this little mat would really help!

Makeup Brush Set: And of course, if you're going to get a cleaning mat, you probably need to get some new brushes too!

Velvet Bow: I just think these hair bows are so sweet. I also love this version! They would make great stocking stuffers!

Quip Toothbrush: This is the coolest toothbrush! It's got a small profile, is electric and you can sign up for a subscription which automatically sends new refills every three months! Brushing teeth never looked so fun!

Invisibobble Hair Tie: Like a scrunchie, only not! And they supposedly don't crimp hair!

Crossbody Pouch: I'm officially in love with Cuyana now that I bought my tote. I love the idea of this small crossbody for the weekends!

Aerin Amber Musk: I have the Mediterranean Honeysuckle scent and love it for the summer. I've heard really great things about this scent for the winter.

Wine Glasses: These wine glasses were voted the best, according to this article! And they're $20 for 4...score!

Fuzzy Slippers: How cozy do these look? Everyone should get new slippers for Christmas morning, am I right?! And these are under $30!

Skin Illuminating Powder Duo: Ok, this is a splurge but my friend has it and it is absolutely gorgeous on! Totally worth it!

Suitcase: We love Herschel Supply Co. in this family and I had no idea they made hardshell suitcases. Isn't this color super pretty too?

Hydro Flask Wide Mouth: I feel like this is the "it" water bottle this year and I love all the colors that it comes in! The only question is, which color would you get??

So there you have it! My first gift guide of the season! Happy Shopping!!

Halloween 2017

Halloween was a whirlwind this year! I felt like there was a lot more time to celebrate leading up to Halloween, especially with Halloween falling on a Tuesday night {school night!}. We went to school parties, a Harvest Festival and of course, trick or treating that night!

The boys opted to dress alike this year, which I can actually see being a trend for several years. Luckily, their two little friends had the same idea and we had a crazy ninja gang on our hands! Too funny!

I hope you had a great Halloween too!

Favorite Amazon Buys

If you're anything like me, then you know how important Amazon is to your daily life! These are all verified purchases that I have either made on repeat or that have changed my life for the better! Let me explain...

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides: My post recent purchase! My friends swear by this product and I'm desperate to try anything that helps to thicken my hair, improve my skin and supportsjoint health!

Fabric Defuzzer: This is a total game changer! My once fuzzy ottoman has been totally transformed and looks brand new! I can't wait to see how it does on my fuzzy sweater! Even Ryan's regular cotton t-shirts have benefitted!

Lash Enhancer Serum: Hello lashes! This stuff really works and is much cheaper on Amazon than traditional retailers, like Nordstrom!

Tinkle Eyebrow Razor: For that pesky peach fuzz, these things do the trick! Watch the tutorial video here!

Beach Cruiser: By far the best purchase I made this past summer! Even my husband is jonesing for one now!

Handheld Steamer: I often find myself running late to work and having a wrinkly article of clothing. This steamer heats up much faster than an iron, plus, no ironing board and takes out the wrinkles lickety split!

Forehead Thermometer: If you have young children, then this is a must-have item.

Inspiralizer: I love this gadget for making healthy meals...it's fun to experiment with what can be spiralized! So far we've tried cucumber, butternut squash, onion, sweet potato and more!

Curling Wand: I love the thicker curls from this wand and feel like they really hold!

Nightlight: Our 5-year old is obsessed with this nightlight! So fun and whimsical!

Dog Bed: Such a steal for your fur baby...we will be buying this on repeat!

Tweezers: Tweezerman is theee best! And they sharpen for free!

Do you have Amazon staples that you swear by? Do share!!
