Updated Six Month Favorites

It's been two and a half years since I last had a six month old and while so much has changed, I've found that I still love a lot of my go-to items from when I had Ethan {see Ethan's 6 Month Favorites here}.  The jumperoo, high chair and sleep sack are amongst some of those tried and true items.

A couple new items that stand out are the mini muslin blankets--Wyatt loves snuggling with them at night and I don't have to worry {as much!} about him smothering himself with it.  I am also loving the MAM pacifiers and the Shea Moisture baby shampoo {smells SO good!}.

What are some of your favorite items?  Let me know in the comments below!

My Weekend // SLO Wedding

First, you might notice things look a little bit different around here!  I hope that this new blog design helps you navigate my site a bit better...and if you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to let me know!

This past weekend, we celebrated our friend's wedding in our college town, San Luis Obispo.  We spent three nights and four days with some of our best friends for what turned out to be a pretty amazing college reunion.  And to top it off, we were kid free, which was pretty amazing and crazy all at the same time.  I'm fairly certain we haven't been away from Ethan that long and I definitely hadn't been away from Wyatt that long.  Luckily, they got to spend the weekend with family, so we knew they were in good hands.  It was a weekend full of friends, food and lots of memories...

No road trip is complete without an In-N-Out stop!

Once we arrived, we hit up the Thursday night Farmer's Market and went to Novo for some amazing rosé and apps on their back deck.

Later, we went to Batch for their amazing, homemade ice cream sandwiches.

The next morning, we grabbed coffee at my favorite little spot, Scout...

Isn't it darling?

Then it was time to hit up a couple wineries before the wedding festivities began.  I swear I went to college here, but I had NO idea there were amazing wineries around the corner.  I'm told they weren't really establishes 10+ years ago, but wow!

Here we are wine tasting at Edna Valley Vineyards...so good!

Mer and I at the rehearsal dinner.

All the boys lined up...isn't the setting gorgeous?

The groom & bride with their groomsmen.

A delicious latte from Sally Loo's...

And one of the most scrumptious breakfasts I've ever had!

Wedding details!

The kiss!

The stunning reception...aren't those long tables to die for?

Mama's night out!

The barn for dancing!

First dance!

Me and my handsome date!

Al the Betas and the bride!

Isn't the setting stunning?

We had the best time celebrating and getting together.  Congrats to Omar and Meghan!!

Ethan's Turning Three // Pool Birthday Party!

Welp, almost a month later, I'm finally sharing Ethan's birthday party pictures.  His whole party came together at the last minute, and I'm afraid it shows!  But we still had a blast and that's what counts at the end of the day, right?!  So here are some snaps from the day...

Ethan's invitations were from Minted...the best!

Beach balls and streamers pretty much made up the theme...and...

Lots of pools!!  And the cutest three year old t-shirt!

Ethan loved having everyone sing happy birthday...and can you please notice my homemade cake?  It was a disaster, but I made it work!

We ultimately opted for ice cream sandwiches for the kids.  And can you please check out my threenager?!

All in all, it was a great day!  Next year though...I think we'll just go to the beach and call it a day!  ;)

PS...the Nordstrom sale is officially open to the public today!  Check out my posts on my top picks:

Top Home Items at the Nordstrom Sale!

Most people may not think of Nordstrom when it comes to home items, but they have a surprisingly nice collection that is definitely worth perusing--especially during their annual sale.  I'm really big on buying high-end candles on sale since they can usually be a bit too pricey normally.  I love Votivo's red currant and Voluspa's Laguna scent is divine!

You can shop the entire home collection here and get the early access prices now if you're a card-holder.  The rest of us have to wait until the 17th!

Happy Shopping!

Happy 6 Months Wyatt!

I feel like I just blinked and now I have a SIX month old!  I am sure I will say it every time, but time is just flying by.

Wyatt is definitely becoming his own little person and I feel like he is looking more and more like himself by the day {as opposed to looking like Ethan!}.  One thing is for sure, he will not be ignored!  This little guy will squawk at the top of his lungs if you put him down when he's not ready or if we're paying more attention to Ethan.  Whoever said that second babies are more patient was obviously not talking about Wyatt!

Things are moving a little bit slower with Wyatt...we just transitioned him over to his crib {at 24 weeks}, but the timing seemed right for us and he's doing really well in there.  He sleeps in his sleep sack and a lovie {we love the Lulujo mini blankets!}.

We some big milestones this month...practically sitting up, moving to his crib, rolling back to front, celebrating his first 4th of July and having his first bite of food--baby oatmeal {we got him this kind}.

Ethan is still his favorite person...he just lights up when Ethan is around.  Similarly, he'll also cry if Ethan is crying!  Oh!  And if Ryan tickles Ethan next to Wyatt, Wyatt will just lose it and start screaming crying!  He worries about him!  The cutest thing Ethan does is give him raspberries on his tummy--Wyatt LOVES it!

Wyatt loves his bath time, jumping in his jumperoo, putting anything and everything in his mouth, and his brother.  It takes quite a bit for him to laugh, but when he does, it's the cutest thing ever.  He hates being put down, nursing--oh speaking of that, I'm pretty much done.  I wanted to get to six months and I have now.  I'm so crazy busy and he really hates it, unless it's the middle of the night, so I think it's time.  He's definitely spoiled on the bottle!

Overall, he's such a sweet and smiley baby!  He loves to snuggle and reaches for us when we go to pick him up.  I love him so much!

Baby Items at the Nordstrom Sale!

Maxi-Cosi Carseat // Aden + Anais Blankets // Nuna Leaf // Barefoot Dreams Blanket

While you may think of the Nordstrom sale for your own needs, I'm equally as impressed with the baby selection on sale.  I own and love all three of the above blanket options {can you ever have too many baby blankets?!} and love Honest Company products.

And for those of you who are not as interested in baby products, check out this cute sweater tunic...which is part of the sale!

Cute right?

I hope you're having a great weekend!

I Like 'em Round, and Big...

I am loving myself a big, round mirror lately and kind of wish I bought bigger when I bought one for Wyatt's nursery.  We know that mirrors can really open a space, and I love how a round mirror breaks up all the linear lines in a space.  Let me show you what I mean...

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9

Gorgeous right?!  I've rounded up some of my favorite round mirror finds for you to shop!
