Halloween Costume Party Link Up!

Halloween is tomorrow and I'm so excited to share Ethan's costume this for this year.

I present to you...the walrus!

I simply could not resist this costume with the furry chest and adorable tusks.  Ethan is definitely not a fan, but it's nothing that a lollipop couldn't remedy!  ;)

How cute are the flippers?

Just loungin!

I mean, can you get over this face?!

I think this will be nice and warm for tomorrow night when we go out trick-or-treating...he will be hamming it up left and right!

So now, it's your turn to link up and show off your kiddos cute costume!  You have until November 6th to link up with Julie at The Girl in the Red Shoes and me.  Or tag us on Instagram with #HalloweenCostumeLinkUp  Can't wait to check them out!  And be sure to grab a button too!

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 Weeks {first 28 week update}.  I am officially in my third trimester!
Baby Size: An eggplant.
Total weight gain: Pretty sure I'm 18+ pounds.  All the Halloween candy and sweets are not helping!
Maternity clothes? Lots and lots of leggings.  Finally broke down and bought another pair of maternity jeans.  I am also loving this sweater from Banana Republic.
Stretch marks? Still in the clear.
Sleep: Still pretty good actually...love my bed!
Best moment this week: Watching the World Series...go Giants!
Miss Anything? Not really...being pregnant during the fall & holidays is pretty great.  Not gonna lie!
Movement: Lots of rolls.
Food cravings: Pumpkin mmmm!!
Gender: BOY!
Looking forward to: Halloween of course!
Differences this time around: Just feeling larger and larger by the day...and weirdly still waiting for my linea nigra to come in.  I also have a crazy feeling that the next three months are going to FLY by!  How will I have time to decorate for the holidays, decorate the boys room, buy Christmas gifts, and enjoy the season??  I'm starting to stress!

Our Weekend

We had a fun, fall-filled weekend including yummy treats, a wedding, a nature outing, and lots of world series baseball!

I got to kick off the weekend by wearing my new Loeffler Randall flats...aren't they gorgeous?

Saturday morning, the boys slept in {love that!} and I got to catch up on some catalogues and enjoy a little peace and quiet.  I'm currently loving pumpkin butter on english muffins.

Later that day, we headed to our last wedding of the season and saw this gorgeous rainbow!

Sunday morning, Ryan made us pumpkin pancakes.

And then we headed out to the steam to see the salmon.
My sunglasses // scarf // jacket // Uggs // Ethan's Beanie

Checking out all the fish...he was mesmerized!

All in all, it was a great weekend...especially with Giants taking the lead in the world series!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...Happy Monday!

Nursery // Finding the Perfect Dresser

My due date is less than three months away and I have barely scratched the surface on getting the nursery designed.  In my defense, Ethan's big boy bed won't arrive until late November, so that has definitely stalled things out.  But in the meantime, I know that getting the design underway for Baby #2 will help motivate me to get things going.

I'm planning to move Ethan's Ikea dresser to his new room, which means that I need something new for the nursery.  I'm really drawn to the mid-century modern look and would love to add some wood tones to the nursery.  I'll be using the same crib, which has a wood base.

Here are some of the dressers I've been eying:

I LOVE this West Elm dresser, but don't love the price.  Plus, I'm not sure that I need something this big.  I'm thinking if I get a smaller dresser, I can move the rocking chair to the corner that opens up by having more room.

The smaller version would be great, but is still pretty pricey.

Target has a similar option, but it doesn't get the best reviews.  Nor does its larger version, which is too bad because they really are spot on.

Dwell Studio makes a cute version, but again, it's more pricey than I want to spend.

Last, is this little number from Overstock.  It's a little smaller than I might like, but it fits the bill otherwise.

What do you think?  Is it worth splurging or saving?  Have you seen any other similar options out on the market that I've missed?

I'd love your feedback!

PS...Happy Birthday Mom!

Midweek Musings

It's midweek, fall is in full swing and I seriously can't believe Halloween is next Friday!  Time is flying!  Today, I'm catching up on all the latest happenings...

I recently decorated my mantel for Halloween.  I am loving these little black cats from Paper Source.

Is it just me or is TV really slow right now?  Luckily, I'm really into the new Showtime series, The Affair.  It kind of reminds me of Gone Girl...the story is told from two different perspectives.  Pretty intriguing so far!

We made chilaquiles for dinner the other night and boy was it good!  You can find the recipe here.

We had a college friend's wedding this past weekend and it was fun to get away for the night.  I especially loved rocking this dress from Lulu's.

Last, I am so excited to introduce my newest sponsor, Annie from Home of the Malones!  Here's a little bit of her and her sweet blog...isn't Brody the cutest??

NAME/AGE/LOCATION
I'm Annie, a 29 year old gal living in Pensacola, FL (my hometown).

FAMILY
I got married in April 2012 to my husband Matt. Six months later we found out we were pregnant. In June 2013, we had our son Brody. We also have one fur baby, Bella. She's a four year old, 7 pound, white Maltipoo, who is extremely jealous of her little brother.

WORK
I stay at home with our son, Brody (15 months). I worked for Chase bank just out of college then in the family business for 4 years prior to having Brody. I had plans to return back to the family business; but as of right now, I'm taking a bit longer sabbatical than I had planned. I feel so lucky to spend every day with this little guy.

HOBBIES
I love to travel, workout, shop, cook, entertain and blog. I really enjoy my role as stay at home Mom and take advantage of my time at home to decorate, cook new recipes and plan parties! We love to entertain and never pass up the opportunity to take a great trip.

WHY I BLOG
I started Home of Malone's a few months after we got married as a way to document our journey of building our first home and my pregnancy with Brody. I read so many blogs when we were planning our home and definitely during my pregnancy {insert Schue Love} and I loved the concept. I learned so much and thought it would be fun to start one of my own to share our ideas and document our married life.

WHAT I BLOG ABOUT
I blog about family, food, fashion, travel and life in general. I love to decorate for the holidays and share my passion for trying new recipes. I have an addiction to online shopping and am thrilled when I can share my favorite new fashion find. I have no shame in over posting photos of my son either!

I hope you will stop over to the blog and say hello!  I look forward to meeting some new faces and great blogs.  Thanks for having me, Natasha :)

Definitely pay Annie a visit and if you're interested in becoming a sponsor, simply shoot me an email at schuelove {at} gmail.com.  I'd love to have you!

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 Weeks {first 27 week update}
Baby Size: A cauliflower...or about two pounds.
Total weight gain: It's looking more like 17-18 pounds, maybe more!
Maternity clothes? This is actually a normal Gap dress but it has lots of stretch and the material is nice and thick.  Perfect for fall!
Stretch marks? Zilch.
Sleep: It's getting harder.  We had an out of town wedding this past weekend and sleeping in a hotel bed is pretty rough!
Best moment this week: Seeing all of our college friends at the wedding.
Miss Anything? I was asked multiple times if it was hard not being able to drink at the wedding, but it really wasn't.  After all...there was cake!
Movement: More rolls...love seeing him move and groove from the outside!
Food cravings: Sweets, sweets and more sweets.  #sobad
Gender: BOY!
Looking forward to: Our last wedding of the season and it's Halloween themed!  Can't wait!
Differences this time around: I feel like I can eat way more this time around.  Last time, I would get stuffed quickly.  Now...not so much.  And the scale is noticing it!  Oops!  I'm thinking this boy will be bigger than Ethan, who was only 6 pounds 3 ounces at birth.  We shall see!

Fall Style with Pure Jill

Coat: Pure J.Jill c/o // Necklace // Sunglasses: Karen Walker // Sweater: Target {old, similar here, love this one too} // Tank: Liz Lange // Maternity Jeans // D'Orsay flats: Chinese Laundry

Fall is officially in the air!  The temps are dropping, the leaves are changing and my sweaters are in full rotation!

It's hard to believe that with the holidays around the corner...that this baby is also not far behind!  Being pregnant in the fall is all about comfort and that's why I am all about any clothing brand that touts comfort, relaxation and casual elegance.

This coat, by Pure Jill--a new line of J.Jill--is made of a unique boucle material, but is still sophisticated for work or a night out.  I love that it keeps me warm but is not too thick.  In fact it's great for layering with sweaters and to throw on with some jeans and fall flats.

The entire collection has nonchalant, layered looks that can be created by pairing styles of varying proportion and shape...perfect for moms or moms to be, like me!
Best yet, J.Jill is offering 30% off any full-priced item from the pure jill collection through November 30, 2014, with the code MOPJ30
To find out more about the new Pure Jill Collection, see the collection on their website or visit their Facebook or Instagram page.
