Shoe Love: The Mule

I absolutely loving the mule trend this fall...it's the perfect mix between comfort and style and can easily be worn to work and on the weekends! Here are some of my favorite options...

The Gemma Mule {love it in velvet too!}

The Suede Heel Mule {Everlane always gets it right! Love this and this too!}

The Trace Mule...can't decide between the mauve and gray color!

Are you digging the mule as much as I am? Did I miss a pair that needs to be on my wishlist??

'Tis the Season for Family Photos

Left to Right:

It's that time of year...the holidays are upon us and every year I try to plan our family photos early so they can get mailed out with plenty of time for our family and friends to enjoy. The reality is that most years I'm scrambling! So 'tis the season to plan early!

I'm trying to break out of the blues and beiges that I usually go for...and with three boys, why shouldn't I incorporate some pinks and reds this time?

Have you started to plan for photos yet?

Crazy for Culottes

1 // 2 // 3 // 4
5 // 6 // 7 // 8

I know what you must be thinking...the 90's are calling and they want this trend back. BUT! Let me tell you, I am kind of obsessed with this trend, both for work and the weekends! They're universally flattering (don't believe me? Read these reviews) and SO cute with heels, mules and flats.

I bought these in white (size down if you buy!), as well as these jeans...and now I can't get enough!

Do you love this trend??

Our Labor Day Weekend

We spent this last weekend in Newport Beach to visit friends and some family.

This picture pretty much summarizes our weekend...it was a HOT one! Like a sweltering, humid, sticky kind of hot! Luckily there was a pool to distract the boys! ;)

Ethan was determined to finally swim on his own, sans life jacket. I was really impressed with his tenacity...he was a little fish all weekend! And he started treading water/swimming by the time we were ready to leave!

Wyatt was a bit more cautious!

Wyatt and his buddy O'Mara...little two year olds!

One of my favorite places in Newport to grab a coffee is Kit Coffee. It's such a cute little shop.

One highlight of the trip was seeing Courtney from A Thoughtful Place. She has become like a sister to me and I truly treasure our friendship. We always have the best time together! And it doesn't hurt that our husbands {both Ryans} like each other too! Also, her new home is AMAZING! Check it out here.

Later that night, we had a wedding to attend in Laguna Niguel. The dress I chose to wear was actually a romper and did not breathe at all, so I was literally dying a little bit in these pictures!

But it was really fun seeing my brother and sister-in-law amongst other family.

How stunning is this setting?

Sunday night, I met up with my girlfriends from high school. We had a super fun night out at Lido Marina Village!

And GUESS who we ran into at Nobu?? Kelly Dodd from Real Housewives of Orange County. She was really nice and so sweet to take a picture with us!

Overall, we had the best time! The boys did not want to leave and come back to reality! Neither do we!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!
