Spaghetti Squash Crust Sausage Pizza

For those of you who are gluten-free or simply trying to cut carbs, this recipe is for you.  I've always wanted to explore the world of carb-less pizza, but was worried that a) it would be WAY too hard or b) it would taste like cardboard.  Well, I can honestly say that this recipe is definitely none of the above.  The crust is surprisingly crisp and flavorful {nothing like cardboard} and the pizza is actually quite filling.  I found this recipe through Delighted Momma...who you should definitely check out if you're trying to be more health conscious.  She has some amazing recipes!

Next up, I want to try a cauliflower crust pizza...who's's with me?!

  4. You should try Juila Child's eggplant pizza! We use our own sauce and toppings but the eggplant is delicious instead of pizza dough. We are actually making it for dinner tonight! :)

  5. Oh my gosh, I need to try this! Cam hates cauliflower, so I haven't tried out making a cauliflower crust pizza but using spaghetti squash seems like the perfect alternative! :)

  7. Yeah for gluten free!! I'll have to try this (looks delicious), thanks!! :) I've tried the cauliflower 'breadsticks' before and they didn't turn out quite right, might have to give them a shot again. :)

  8. I'll have to try this. Definitely try cauliflower crust pizza! It is so good - and doesn't taste like cauliflower at all (although I do love the taste of cauliflower). Just an FYI for when you do try the cauliflower crust - after you cook the crust you need to let it completely cool before you start assembling or it will fall apart when you go to cut it later, just a helpful tip I learned the hard way :)
PS - I love your blog!

  10. Ooh we make pizza all the time but we take the easy route and use Trader's Joe's pizza (but we do make it wheat crust at least). This looks delicious!

  12. I made a cauliflower crust a few months ago - it was tasty and like the one above, very filling - much more than regular crust! Whatever recipe you find, consider including spices you like in a pizza dough - I include oregano, garlic and onion powder in mine. :)
