Happy Two Months Wyatt!

Another month has flown by and it keeps getting better.  By two months, Wyatt has fallen into a loose pattern of sleeping, eating, and pooping {well...kind of!}.  His longest period of sleep is about five hours at night...hey, I'll take it!  He's also breastfeeding pretty well and my supply is really up this time around, which has been nice.

His little personality is shining through as he started smiling between 5 and 6 weeks and yet, he can scream his little head off when he wants too.  We've got a dramatic fella on our hands.  He really loves to be held all.the.time which is both cute and difficult depending on the situation.  Having a crazy two year old running circles around us just adds another fun dynamic to the mix.  ;)

I don't remember this with Ethan {you can read Ethan's 2 month update here} but Wyatt had a little stretch where he would go 2-3 days without pooping.  It was clear he was also having bad gas and tummy troubles during this time too {sorry, but TMI seems like a thing of the past these days}.  Gripe water seemed to soothe him {we even thought of getting one of these} but we have hopefully turned a corner and he seems to be back on track.

Ethan continues to love and dote on his little brother.  It really is the cutest thing ever.  He loves kissing him on the head and shoving his paci in his mouth when he cries.  He tells him that he loves him all the time.  Being the Frozen lover that he is, he even started telling Wyatt "I'm gonna keep you" from the part in the movie where the troll meets Kristoff and Sven for the first time.  #heartmelt

Wyatt's hair is growing back in on top of his head, but his acne has flared up quite a bit recently, poor kid.  Also, his sweet brother unintentionally broke his swing {from bending over and kissing him constantly} so we are trying to get by with the rock n play in the meantime.

Wyatt is liking bath time more and more and doesn't seem to mind getting his diaper changed as much.  We swaddle him when he's sleeping {we love this and this}...velcro swaddles are a must now.  He enjoys riding in the car and going on walks, whether it's in his stroller or in the baby carrier.  The only thing he really hates is not being held.

Some happenings and milestones this past month:
Met his grandpa and grandmama
Met his Auntie Lauren and Uncle Ryan
Met his Uncle Kirk
First dinner out at Off the Hook Sushi at 5 weeks
Mama went to the movies for the first time...Grandma watched BOTH boys for the first time!
Starting sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at 6 weeks.
First snow at 6 weeks
First trip to ski resort at 7 weeks
Daddy went away for the weekend for the first time at 7 weeks
Stopped peeing wildly during diaper change after first couple weeks...should be noted!

  7. I'm sure everyone tells you this but he looks exactly like a mini Ethan! Your profile pic (I don't know what to call it?) on Blogger has a baby Ethan and Wyatt looks almost exactly like that (but with less hair right now). Such a sweet big brother Ethan is! So glad things are going so well!

  10. Love these little updates - and his gorgeous outfit and sweet baby smile... Both my girls have suffered with slight constipation over the past few years and months and my aped always reminded about the 1in5 and 5in 1 rule (they can have 5 poops in 1 day and 1 poop in 5 days and it is normal) unless they are one excruciating pain... Glad he has turned a corner though x
