Decks, Dads & Dogs!

That's right folks...it's the Triple D!  Our weekend was full of all three and I am happy to finally reveal our progress on our deck.  We're not done yet, but you can see that hubby and his dad have been hard at work...they even worked on Father's Day...we're lucky to have such a devoted Dad!  I'll start at the beginning...

Yes, this is what was our deck...pretty sad right?  We have since discovered that the addition to our house was actually done over the previous deck...pretty scary!!!  Luckily, my hubs and his dad are extremely talented and were able to restructure the bad work from before.

A wide shot of our house...you can see our master bedroom slider stepped out onto nothing.

The boys starting to lay the cement piers.

Wilson dismayed with all the hullabaloo!

The corner of the overhang desperately needed to be restructured!

No more old deck!

Future spot of the new deck!

That looks like the support it should have had all along!

 Support beams going in!

Wilson is still not too sure!

 Progress!

Are you seeing the vision!?

That sliding door leads to our master...it will be SO nice to have a deck there!

 AH-MAZING progress!

And Wilson now thinks he's a lap dog...oy!

That is one pooped pup!

We expect to have the deck completed by this weekend...can't wait to show you the final product!

  13. Looks really good!!! We are also redoing our deck...just staining it though and replacing some boards! We have a portion of the staining done, but it has rained every day that we have wanted to finish it since! So for now we have a somewhat ghetto partial stained deck :)
