Master Bedroom::Pillow Help!

Before I start today's post, I want to give a massive shout out to Danielle Moss!  She is the talent behind my new blog design and I could not be more happy with it!  She has a great eye for detail and really took my theme to the next level.  I can't thank her enough!  :)

So, on to today's post.  It's been a while since I've touched on our master bedroom.  You last saw it here and we've recenlty added the Ikea Hemnes dresser here.  But since then, I've been pretty stuck.  We have switched out the lamps to some pretty turquoise ones, but the brown toile bedding has proven to be a challenge.

I found this picture recently and thought it might serve as a guide to add some more color/pattern/interest to the room.

I like that the painting and lamp are similar to what I have now.  If I were to fold our duvet back so that the brown toile isn't as dominant...then perhaps I could add in this navy/Parisian blue to incorporate more color and pattern.  Here are some ideas I found on Etsy...I would LOVE your opinion on which one you like best...or if this is too far fetched for my room.

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Option 4

Option 5

Options 6

I'm ready to make a purchase, so really value your opinion!  All thoughts and opinions welcome...which would option would you choose?

P.S. Don't forget...tomorrow I'm sharing my Christmas Vignettes and linking up over at A Thoughtful Place!   Be sure to stop by and link up!  :)

  2. I think it might be tough adding a patterned pillow to an already patterned bedspread.. But I like optin 3 best. Possibly you could fold it back like you suggested and it would go great? good luck! i love changing this up from time to time.

  10. Hmm...hard choice when the bedding is patterned, too. Definitely fold it over to make it less pattern. You could add some euro shams in the back to give it height, then i think i like option 4 or 5, mixed in with some solid cream pillows (:

  11. I'm all for option two or three.. OR a combo of one and three. :) Very cute photo to work off of. I love the turquoise accessories. I'm in the middle of a similar bedroom decor dilemma. Found the bedspread. stopped. made a floral and glass arrangement. stopped. got a lamp and lampshade. stopped. :) you get the idea. slowly, but surely it'll come together. :)

  16. First, the new design looks so great! I personally really like #5 and #6 -- even together they could work! Number 2 is pretty as well!

  18. I think option 2 is my favorite, but tied for second is option 4 and 1. Either way I think it will look good....I agree that folding the bedding down so that there is more white would help. And I want to see the lamps! Oh, and maybe some picture frames in those colors on your side tables would look good too...or maybe even mirrored or silver plated frames would look nice. Oh, and I love the coral too as a way to bring in some more white!

  22. Your new blog design looks great. I really like pillow 3, but all will look good in your room, I think you should follow your heart and pick the one you like the most (without thinking about your dreamy bedspread) and it will work. Love the painting too!

  26. First of all, I LOVE your new blog design! Gorgeous!!!

I'm so horrible at making decisions. Number 5 is probably my favorite, however, given the look you're going for, I think #1 or #4 would be the best :)

  28. Natasha your blog design looks fantastic! I love the little rose at the end :)

I would got with option 3 because it adds the pop of color your looking for but is also still compatible with the pattern on your duvet :)
