Baked Brie with Fig Jam

Thanksgiving is officially upon us!  And I'm already dreaming of all the deliciousness I'm about to consume this Thursday!  Of course, part of the fun is all the baking that goes into the feast.  And any good host has appetizers for all the worker bees to snack on, right?!  :)

Which is where this baked brie appetizer comes into play!  I am a huge fan of brie and fig jam.  It's one of my favorite combos.  But I thought I would kick it up a notch by making the appetizer more fancy....thus the puff pastry!  Yum!  This so yummy & ooey gooey....it's such a hit for any party or prelude to dinner.

Baked Brie {adapted from Simply Recipes}
  • One sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 round of Brie Cheese {a wedge works too!}
  • Fig Jam {or sweet jam of your choice}
  • Honey
  • Brown Sugar
Preheat the over to 350 F.

Allow the sheet of puff pastry to thaw.  On a stick-free cookie sheet, lay out the pastry.  Place the round of brie on top.  Spread a healthy amount of fig jam on top of the brie.  Fold over the corners of the puff pastry on top.  Drizzle puff pastry with honey and sprinkle brown sugar.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until puff pastry is golden brown.  I topped our brie with dried cranberries...perfect for Thanksgiving!  Serve with crackers or apple slices.

Mmm fig jam!  This is what it looks like before you fold the puff pastry over it!  :)

Do you have any appetizers up your sleeve this Thanksgiving?

Hope you enjoy!  Bon Appetit!
