The Wedding Recap

We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating Lauren and Ryan this past weekend.  She was such a stunning bride, the location was beyond beautiful, and the decor was spot on.  There were so many touching moments like hand written vows, sentimental details, and of course lots of dancing!  The entire wedding was full of love.  And Ethan was the perfect little ring bearer {though I have no photos to show for it!}.

Still coming down from all the fun of the weekend...I'll be back soon!

Sunday at the Garden Place

FINALLY!  It's sunny and warm here in Tahoe!  I am thrilled!  :)

Though we had a packed weekend, with a baby shower, grad party, and progressive dinner...hubs and I still managed to sneak away to the nursery...or "garden place" as I like to think of it.  Aspen Hollow is our local nursery and it is truly enchanted!  It has wonderful character and every type of plant and whimsical accessory you could think of.  I took some photos to document our trip, though I assure you, this is just a fraction of what you will see here.

Have you ever seen an oversized peony?  I know I haven't!  These were so vibrant and LARGE!  Just beautiful!

How adorable is this little metal owl for the garden?  They have tons of different creatures...birds, dragonflies, bumble bees....the list goes on!

I am in love with this idea...find an old wheelbarrow and and plants lots of fun flowers and mini trees in it!

A robin feeding her cute babies!

 Such a enchanting chair!

Love the idea of hanging small jars from the trees and planting flowers in them.

We are in love with this cherry blossom tree...I imagine it in our back yard!

An herb garden would certainly come in handy.

Totally want to steal this idea...love the wine cork board.

An ode to Wilson...such a cute fountain!

Do you have a nursery you love to visit?  It's definitely inspiring!

San Diego Recap!

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I hope you all had a great weekend...do anything fun?  I had a great time in San Diego this weekend, celebrating my sister-in-law's law school graduation.  Here are some highlights...

We stayed at the Hilton Waterfront
and I was super impressed with how beautiful the property was...the vibe was very modern and clean.  These orchids greeted as in the lobby...love!

There was a gorgeous architectural feature when you first entered the lobby as well...so whimsical!  The hotel is located on the water and across from the street from Petco Park...I highly recommend it!

My sis-in-law graduated from University of San Diego which has beautiful grounds...I especially struck by these beautiful agave plants.

And the views were not bad either!

Beautiful arrangements were put together for the graduation party...you know I am loving these peonies!

The views from the party were stunning too!  We had two private cabanas at C Level which I definitely recommend if you're ever looking for a great restaurant in San Diego.  The food was amazing!

Another shot of the flower arrangement and views.

We had a Sunday Brunch at El Camino which is a funky and vibrant Mexican Restaurant.  We all enjoyed $1 mimosas and Bloody Marias!

Perhaps the best part about the restaurant is that there is an open-air patio where planes fly overhead right before they land.  It's quite the spectical!

We definitely enjoyed our trip and I am so inspired by all the my sister-in-law has accomplished...she takes the bar in July and then she's ready to take on the world.  I know she'll make an amazing attorney!  :)

Ideas for Mom

Mother's Day is right around the corner and it is always a wonderful time to let your mama know how much she is cherished!  I thought I would share some fun ideas that your mom is sure to love.

Necklace
Dogeared jewelry is one of my favorites!  The necklaces all have sweet messages and they're reasonably priced.  This one is perfect for mom...so dainty and sweet!

Phone Case
For the tech savvy mom, why not update her iPhone case with this cute floral Kate Spade one?  It's a little bit retro and a little bit whimsy...perfect for mom!

Candle
Jo Malone has the most heavenly scents that are mature enough for mom, but the whole family will enjoy.  This candle's geometric pattern adds a fun touch.

Flowers
Flowers always brighten a day and these peonies are sure to do the trick!  I love the look of a single type of flower in a bunch....makes a great impact!

Bathrobe
Bathrobes are a traditional gift on Mother's Day, but this one changes it up with the bold print and 3/4 length sleeves.  A great change for the spring and summer!  :)

If you're don't want to spend too much, you can always make Mom...

 {via}
Breakfast in Bed!
She'll be sure to love that...and just the opportunity to spend quality time with you.  :)

Whatever you do for your Mom this Sunday, I hope it's a special one!
