Oscar Red Carpet

I haven't had a chance to watch the actual show yet {thank you DVR} but I had to check out the red carpet dresses...here are some of my favorite looks!

If you read my post last Friday, you know that this Eli Saab number was one of my favorite dresses...so I was happy to see that Sandra rocked it!

I thought the train on Amy's Oscar de la Renta gown was stunning!

I love the beading detail on this Naeem Khan dress...it looks like beautiful chain mail.

The color of this Armani dress complimented Jessica perfectly and fit her like a glove.

Another Armani dress, I love the asymmetrical neckline and thought the fit was spot on.

Charlize is a vision in this sleek peplum Dior dress.  True perfection.

And for the looks I wasn't digging...sorry, was just not a fan of this Prada dress on Anne.  I thought the statement necklace looked off with the high neckline and the dress was reminiscent of a Jessica McClintock frock I might have worn back in high school.

And really...what was Brandi thinking wearing this?  Completely ridiculous and over-the-top {but not in a good way}.  Put those things away!!

What were your favorite looks from last night?

  1. My favourite was Naomi Watts - she was stunning.

I'm still not sure why Brandi was there? And you are right - the ensemble was awful and not appropriate for the Oscars!

  2. OMG Brandie..how vulgar! Not surprised. Love all your "winners" and agree, would add Jessica C.and Jennifer G. to the mix and to the misses, Salma H. and Jane Fonda...both whose dresses I did not like. I am often floored that with all the resources these people have, thats the best some of them can do! Overall though it was a great show and I really enjoyed it!

  8. I'm not particularly into fashion myself, but I DID love Jennifer Lawrence's dress, it reminds me of a wedding dress and I thought it was very beautiful!

  9. Totally agree with you here, I wish Anne would have wore the dress she had on when she preformed! One of my favorites besides what you have here was Jennifer Garner, I loved the bold color and texture in the back!

  12. Naomi and Stacey rocked it. I completely agree with Anne's dress. It looks like a bridesmaid dress. What was Rachel thinking putting her in that dress!?!?!

  13. Oh! I'm so glad you posted this because I didn't get a chance to watch. I thought the same thing - Anne's dress looks like what all my friends wore to homecoming dances in high school. I am in LOVE with all those first dresses though. Makes me want to go put on my fanciest dress just for my regular day today ;)

  14. I loved Naomi Watts' whole look from the hair to the dress! Perfect in my opinion!! And I completely agree about Brandi, seriously, what was she thinking?!?

  15. Who Brandy Glanville! Crazy over the top! The dress would have been pretty if the neckline wasn't so bad!

I personally loved Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain ;)

  16. Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams' dresses are among my favorites, and Reese's dress too!

I'm not a fan of Anne Hathaway's dress either, I don't love that color pink in that fabric, but I loved her dress during the Les Mis performance. I just DIE for the sparkle at the bottom!

  17. Naeem Khan was definitely one of my favorites! That dress was ridiculously gorgeous and fit her perfectly.

  18. Charlize was definitely my favorite of the night. She can do no wrong and her dance performance at the beginning of the show was incredible. I somehow missed Brandi's look. Wow! So inappropriate on so many levels!!

  20. Could not agree with you more on Anne and Brandi...what a sad dress for Anne to wear when she WON! I mean...it reminded me of a 7th grade dance type of a dress - just.not.good.

  24. Couldn't agree more with you on these. And so cracking up about your JM comment from high school. We were texting back and forth with girlfriends about how it was exactly the style, cute, and fabric of bridesmaid dresses we all wore for a wedding. Spot on with that, Natasha! :)

  25. Jessica Chastain was my favorite! I hate Anne's and what on earth was Brandi thinking- she wants everyone to take her seriously and then she just keeps showing up so trashy!

  26. Sandra looks great in anything! But her dress was especially stunning on her!
