Closet Clean Out: Blog Sale!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!

Since we're full swing into the new year, I like the idea of starting fresh and cleaning up around the house.  I finally took down all of our Christmas decorations which already makes me feel a little bit more organized.  I also started tackling my closet.  I admit, I have trouble when it comes to cleaning out my closet.  If I buy something that doesn't fit well...I'll wear it a time or two and then it will usually end up in the back of my closet, where it essentially goes to die, because I can't come to grips with the fact that it doesn't fit, and probably never will.  Instead, I'll convince myself that I bought it and therefore, I need to hang onto it incase it fits me one day.

So in an attempt to start fresh and organize my closet, I've selected a couple items that I thought you all might be interested in.  Everything here is in great condition and some things have only be worn once or twice.

Four and Five Month Favorites

I'm a little late on getting this to you, but wanted to make sure to include it.  Like the previous months, four and five were mostly about function...however we started to include a couple "fun" items.  I can tell you now, month 6 is all about food and toys!  Fun times!

Medela Advanced Double Pump: I definitely have a love-hate relationship with this thing!  But since I've gone back to work, this has been my breast best friend, literally!  And though I sometimes wish we weren't so attached at the hip, the double pump is definitely the way to go.  It's efficient and easy to tote around.  Oh, and buy extra pump parts...totally worth it!
JJ Cole Bundleme: With our cold winters, I highly recommend this product!  It keeps baby warm and cozy so I don't have to bundle him up in tons of layers.  It's also easy to zip him in and out of.
Nosefrida: Baby has had some stuffy noses, and while I was dubious at first {I have to suck what out with my mouth!?}, it really does work!  And happily, there's a filter to block any boogies.
Lifefactory Teether: This is a great teether...BPA free and you can pop them in the fridge to cool them down.  Baby loves all the textures and it's easy to hold.
Lansinoh Storage Bags: These are hands-down, the best way to store milk.  They have two zip locks to store your milk and my best advice is to lay them flat in the freezer for optimal storage.
HALO Sleepsack: This is a great transition from the swaddle.  And I prefer this brand because of the fleece which keeps baby warm at night.
Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo: Baby LOVES this jumperoo!  Even into his sixth month.  It has great music, fun things to look at and the jumping is the best.  He loves to stretch his legs and move around.  100% recommend this!

So there you have it!  Did I miss anything?  Let me know if I should be keeping my eye on 6 month favorites!

Baby Ethan: 27 Weeks

Weight: I'm guessing around 15 pounds or so?  We find out at his 6 month appointment on Monday.

Health: Baby Boy has had a stuffy nose, so the Nosefrida is being used in full force, which Ethan hates!  But it usually works.

Sleep: Eh, we're back to waking up 2-3 times a night.  I'm thinking we need to reassess his bedtime routine, now that the holidays are over.

Social: Ethan got to spend lots of time with his Aunt Lauren and her fiance this past week...along with some other family and friends.  It's a good thing he's a social one, because we've had a lot of later nights and tons of holding and interaction!

Oo this feels good on my gums!
 Mmm avocado!
Hey lady!  I'm ready for some more food!

Diet: Breastmilk most of the time...with supplemented formula when I'm at work.  And we've started solids in the last two weeks!  So far he's had baby oatmeal, sweet potatoes and butternut squash.  I also gave him some avocado and cucumber to gum on.  He hasn't met anything he doesn't like, so far.  We're trying to hold off on introducing fruits for a couple more weeks, since they are sweet.  I'm sure he'll LOVE them though!  :)

Clothes: I finally packed away his 3-6 month clothes, along with all of his holiday outfits.  It's always so sad packing them away.  He's wearing 6 month outfits and some 6-9.  Can't believe how big he's getting!

Baby Gear Love: Ethan loves anything that has music {some favorites are the musical activity walker, learn and discover driver, and the tried and true jumperoo}.  He also loves the B. blocks!  Oh and now that we're in full-swing solid mode, we're loving our OXO tot sprout chair.

Crying: Oh, you know...just around 2, 4 and 6am.  No biggie.

Likes: FOOD!  This little boy loves his food and it's been so much fun watching him scarf it down.  And...as usual, anything he can fit in his mouth.

Postpartum: I'm glad the holidays are over and I can refocus on my fitness routine.  No excuses now, right?!

Milestones: Starting solids at 6 months was a big milestone that we're still enjoying!  Also, Ethan is starting to mouth words when he cries or coos.  I swear he said "mama" but it was while he was crying and it broke my heart.  Not ready for that yet!!
