My Weekend: Giants, Fro Yo, Trainwrecks & More!

Hello Sweet Friends!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

We defintiely lucked out with the weather this weekend...the Giants game was delayed 30 minutes, due to rain, but it miraculously cleared up and turned into a great day!

Case in point!  The clouds opened up and the sun was shining!  It was a perfect day at the ballgame.

And yes, I bought a Brian Wilson shirt...I'm definitely a fan!  :)

Hubby, our good friend, and I also got chosen to be on the jumbotron and I "won" the contest, which was all super cool!!!  Best part was that I won a $100 gas card for being the winner...sweet!

Some yummy fro-yo was in order after the game...it was delish!

Ummm I just "may" have finally bitten the bullet and bought these amazing Tom Ford sunglasses I have been eying for a while!  I am totally smitten with them!  :)

Last, I watched the Real Housewives of Orange County last night.  Seriously...they should just change the name of this show to "Tatas and Trainwrecks"...these women are beyond ridiculous!  Just when you think they can't get any worse...they DO!  The finale last night was outta control.  Did anyone else watch last night?

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!  :)

Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

You all know I have a small celeb crush on Bethenny Frankel, last discussed here.  I have her book Naturally Thin and was actually quite impressed with her tips, wit, and recipes.  One of my favorite recipes is her Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies!  Not only are they quite healthy {I mean this is a book about being thin}, they're actually super duper delicious...you won't be able to have just one.

Now, I said these were delicious, not pretty!  I'll admit, they are not the most beautiful cookies you've ever eaten {which makes for poor blogging!} but they are DEFINITELY worth it...even hubby loves them, and he's not much into sweets or things deemed overly "healthy"!

Recipe {also found {here}:
  •  1 1/2 cups oat flour  {yes, oat flour!  I have it in my pantry and it's just as delicious}
  •  3/4 cup rolled oats
  •  1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  1/2 cup raw sugar {like "Sugar in the Raw"}
  •  1/3 cup chocolate chips {I throw a little extra in for good measure and prefer dark chocolate}
  •  1 teaspoon canola oil
  •  1/2 cup soymilk {we used non-fat milk}
  •  1/2 cup banana puree {1 medium-size banana}
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat over to 375.  Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl.  Combine all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.  Mix the dry and wet ingredients together, until well combined {I suggest just using your hands...this is a dry dough, so it will help to mush everything together}.

Use a medium-size ice cream scoop or a large spoon to scoop better onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.  Bake for 12 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through cooking, or bake until the edges of the cookies are light brown.

Just look at this behemoth of deliciousness!  The combination of bananas, chocolate, oatmeal, and quite frankly...the raw sugar, is pure perfection!  I only baked them 20 minutes ago and Hubs has already had four...no joke!  :)

Bon Appetit!

Guilty Pleasure

Can I just say that no matter how many Real Housewives seasons come out...I will always be loyal the ones that started it all...the ladies of the OC!  They represent my hometown (though sometimes I am ashamed to admit that!) and they never fail to bring the drama.  The newest season starts tonight and BOY am I excited!

I am SO glad to see Vicki, Gretchen and Alexis back...not so happy about Tamra (she bugs!) and I'm excited to see what the two new wives are all about.  Not gonna lie...I'm glad that Lynne is gone...and I will always miss Gina!

And in case you wondered, I also adore the New York and Beverly Hills cast.  They're amazing!

Speaking of New York, I am also very happy Bethenny is back (as of last week):

I heart her BIG time!  Have you checked out her website, Bethenny?  She has great recipes and I actually own one of her books, "Naturally Thin" which has down-to-earth advice about eating and staying healthy.

OH and on a last happy note, a week from today is Daylight SavingsI am very excited that the days will be longer and that I can take Wilson for hikes after work!  :)
