Gift Guide: For Him

My final gift guide of the season...all with Christmas coming up in ONE WEEK!! Better late than never! Are you done with your shopping yet? I'll be shopping right up until Christmas Eve!

For that special guy in your life...here are some ideas!

Apple Watch: My husband has been running, biking and playing sports more these days and I know he would really benefit from having a tracker.

Martini Olive Almonds: For the guy who likes his drinks on the rocks!

Rocks Glass: Speaking of...we just got these glasses for Ryan's nightcaps and I love how modern and fun they are.

Camo Workout Shirt: Something fun to encourage those workouts!

Patagonia Duffle: This seems to be the "it" duffle bag for weekend traveling.

Lounge Pants: Ryan just got a pair of these pants {he has the shorts too} and they're so buttery soft! Perfect for lounging around the house this winter.

Heated Mug: To keep that coffee warm on those chilly mornings.

Socks: We love Stance socks, even the boys have them!

Theragun: I've heard amazing things about this massage gun and I'm pretty sure my husband would just about die if we ever got this for him!

Happy last minute shopping!

Gift Guide: For Her

It's time for another gift guide...this time for me her! ;) Hey, my birthday is the day after Christmas so I'm always thinking about ideas! But for any woman in your life, whether your wife, mom, sister, friend or other loved one, I think these would make great gifts!

Spin Shoes: If you love spin as much as I do, then you know how important the shoes are! I'm long overdue for a new pair and love the look of these!

Wine Glasses: We have stemless wine glasses and love them but I've been wanting to invest in some stemmed wine glasses for the holidays and dinner parties.

Chain Necklace: Such a pretty piece to layer with!

Headband: So festive for this time of year!

Cheese Spreaders: The perfect accessory for a cheese board! And they're surprisingly hard to find. Love these too!

Leopard Leggings: Love these in both colors! Also just got this pair...they're so buttery soft!

Tula Eye Serum + Brightening Cream: I've heard amazing things about these products and think it's high-time I invest in taking better care of my skin!

Key Chain: I love this brand and their leather good! Would be fun to have a new keychain! Also love their make-up bags and have had my eye on their tote insert to better organize my bag!

Mug: An initial mug for coffee and tea! Love how it looks like little tiles!

Gold Eye Mask: Because we're not getting any younger! ;)

Pearl Clips: These have been on my list for awhile. Love how they can dress up any outfit!

Slippers: I have the Loft slippers in ivory and love them! I think the black would be fun!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Bring on Christmas!

Gift Guide: For the Kiddos

Yay for the first holiday gift guide of the season! And thanks to family who have been asking for ideas...it was just the push I needed!

I said it last year, but I feel like the older the boys get the less "stuff" they really need. I love the idea of providing more experiences...but...I also know how fun it is to unwrap gifts on Christmas morning! So here are my top ideas!

Jersey Lined Windbuster Jacket: For days when it's cold out but not snowing!

Kiwi Crate: Ethan's best friend has this subscription service and loves it! It's definitely on Ethan's list this year!

Mega Crystal Growing Lab: Another fun "project" for our little scientists!

Play Wallet: Wyatt wants a wallet like the one we got Ethan for his birthday. Love that this one comes with play money too!

This is How We Do it Book: Adorable for a 4, almost 5, year old!

Magic Tree House Box Set: These books come highly recommended for early readers. Check out those reviews! Ethan will love the "Night of the Ninjas" book!

Preschool Math Book: So Wyatt can do his "homework" with his big brother!

Colossal Crash Track: Another hot ticket item on the boys wishlist!

Dino Balaclava: For those freezing cold mornings!

Kids Digital Camera: The boys got disposable cameras over the summer to take pictures of their summer vacation, but printing the photos...well, we haven't exactly gotten around to it! Love the idea of a digital camera that they can explore with!

Happy shopping!

Schue Casa: The Front Sitting Room Mood Board

The last time we talked about this room, I was planning for it to be a formal dining room. Since we've now lived here for over a year, we have a much better understanding of how we use each room. The front room is currently set up with our old sectionals {see it here!} and even though it's not super ideal looking, it's proven to be very functional for our family! We love drinking coffee there in the morning, reading a book in the afternoon or having a glass of wine with company in the evening. It's got a great view of trees and mountains and it's a nice room to escape to!

I've been searching high and love for a couch and accent chairs that will be both attractive and comfortable. We LOVED our olds sectional from Macy's...in fact, we have a smaller version in our upstairs media room. The back is supportive and it's great for lounging/watching movies. I am probably crazy for wanting a white couch but since I'm *hoping* this will be more of an adult space, I am thinking it will be ok. This is another white couch that is crazy inexpensive!

I've also been on the hunt for accent chairs...and while I wanted something more structural, I'm not sure that the lack of comfort will be worth it. Some of the accent chairs I've been looking at...this, this and this! However, I love the height on the ones above and how comfy they look to curl up in.

Last, the rug looks like a dramatic choice but I keep reading how it's gorgeous and versatile it is for most any room. I don't think it's as bold in person, but it will definitely add warmth to the room.

Now to save and start chipping away!
