Family Photo Session

I realized that I never got to share our family photo session from late 2016...these photos were used primarily for our Christmas card and Wyatt's birthday invitation, but there were so many great shots, I thought I would share the rest!

And Wyatt learned that all good things, must come to an end! ;)

Valentine's Day OOTD

So you can see the pretty lilac color in this blouse! I recommend sizing down.

Shop the Look: SunglassesLeather Jacket + Blouse + Jeans + Booties + Ring

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am soooo not a fashion blogger {as evident in these sun blasted pictures, but thanks to my babe of a photographer for taking these! #instagramhusband}, but I really love some of these recent buys and wanted to share! This Free People blouse is so cute! I love the accentuated ruffle detail. Also, this jacket. It's SO good and really reasonable for a leather-like material. Last, I adore the Sam Edelman booties. They're great for everyday wear!

What are you doing to celebrate today and/or tonight? I hope it's a great one!

New Kitchen Mood Board

Remember how a LONNNNNNNG time ago I told you that we bought the lot next door? Well! I am excited to tell you that we're finally starting to make some progress! We're working on plans with our architect and hope to break ground this spring. So naturally, I am pinning away {you can see all of my inspiration on my Pinterest Board} and I love thinking about all of the possibilities! It's also a bit overwhelming, so I'm planning to put some mood boards together to keep me focused! I hope you'll indulge me...and if you have any tips/tricks/sources, let me know!

As for my moodboard, some things to note: I always thought I wanted an all-white kitchen but have heard they're not practical with young kids + we live in a mountain community, so I think the above tones are more fitting. I am very interested in using Semi-Handmade for our cabinets {with IKEA, of course}...does anyone have experience with working with them? I'm debating floating shelves, around the sink or dishwasher just to break up the aesthetics. I love a white subway tile...but the question is how to place it? In a herringbone pattern? Also want to include lots of drawers...yes! Last, I'm thinking of going with a white quartz, but should we consider a darker counter color for the perimeter?

Here are some inspiration photos so you get a better idea of what I'm thinking!

New {Yet Old!} Obsession

Anyone remember Abercrombie & Fitch? I was obsessed with it in high school, but eventually moved on as my style evolved. Welp, I'm here today to tell you that they're baaaaack! And better than ever, IMO. So many cute and stylish things to peruse!

Striped Raincoat: So cute and preppy!

Snap Button Hoodie: Love this casual top with the button up detail!

Mix Stripe Tee: Love that the vertical stripes get it the illusion of a peplum top!

Mesh Leggings: Dusty Rose is so in right now!

Mohair Turtleneck Sweater: Looks so cozy, and yet a great transitional piece to spring!

Do you like the grownup A&F?

Girls' Weekend in Palm Springs

I had the most WONDERFUL time this past weekend with my best friends from high school! I've known some of these girls since I was in elementary school and at the least, we've all known each other for 18 years, so it's safe to say we all know each other extremely well. We've seen each other through the very best and very worst of times...through college, careers, relationships, weddings, children and some of us moving out of the area. I love these girls like my sisters and could not have asked for a more relaxing, FUNNY, and fun weekend in Palm Springs!

Our first night in town, we went to started out at El Jefe for yummy margs and apps...the restaurant is located inside the Saguaro Hotel and it's SO fun and funky! We then headed to Birba for the most delicious pizzas and gorgeous outdoor patio setting. After that, well...we headed to Hunters, and let's just say, my Snaps were full of our crazy dance moves, amongst other things! ;)

We are extremely lucky that one of my friends has a family home in this gorgeous development called Smoke Tree Ranch {Walt Disney used to have a home here}. The houses are all sprawling ranches and having grown up going here, it just feels like home! Not to mention that gorgeous view!

Brunch the next day kicked off with honey vanilla lattes from Koffi and then mimosas and avo toast from King's Highway, which is located inside the Ace Hotel. Have you ever seen a more stunning display of toast before?!

I was SO happy because my fabulous brother, Bobby, was able to join us for brunch and some poolside cocktails...he lives in Palm Springs now and we had so much fun learning about all the fun things going on in the desert.

We clearly don't miss an opportunity for a group photo...! 😆

My MOH!

We spent the rest of our trip, sipping fresh squeezed margaritas poolside...with tangelos picked straight from the property! We reminisced over old photos and our diaries...we were crying we were laughing so hard!

I would only do this for them! ;)

Last, I could not leave without trying the s'more shake from Great Shakes...it was BEYOND anything I've ever had before! And do you see that mini donut? Definitely 1000% worth the stop!

I'll leave you with this last gem...my friends are beyond fabi!!
