Friday Finds

Happy Friday!  We had some inclement weather this past week {think, more snow!} but I'm not letting that stop me from getting into the spirit of spring.  Here are some recent finds and purchases...

We stopped by Old Navy earlier this week and I scooped up the above dress...along with this midi pencil skirt and this scalloped bikini.

I am strangely attracted to these boots...aren't they cool?!

Love this bag for a weekend getaway {or let's be honest...and overnight trip}...or the beach this summer!

I scooped up these herringbone patterned workout leggings from Target recently...they look super similar to lululemon!  I also snagged this candle which smells SO good!

And super random, but if you're on the lookout for a new sippy cup, you MUST check these out.  They're like magic--they don't leak but they are easy to drink from.  My 15 month old is obsessed.

And if you want to see more of my recent finds, check out the tab at the top labeled SHOP MY FAVORITES.

Have a great weekend!

Etsy Finds for Mother's Day

For the culinary mom...Colorful Kitchen Accessories.

For the sleepy mom...Linen Sheets.

For the artsy mom...personable family portrait.

For the wino mom...photo wine charms.

For the blinged out mom...a custom diamond band.

If you're looking for something extra special, I can't recommend Meg and her shop enough. I had long had my eye on a diamond band from a popular high-end jewelry store but could never fathom paying the price.  Meg made me an exact replica for a much more reasonable price.  She was super responsive and fast too!

Don't forget...Mother's Day is just two weeks away!  ;)

Throw Blanket + Art + Art + Decorative Piece

It's been a minute since I've put together a mood board of my favorite decor pieces.  I am loving the mid-century and hipster/boho look right now.  There are so many fun options out there, especially for those of us on a budget.

What's your home decor aesthetic?

Lately

I hope you've had a good start to your week...the weather here in Tahoe is just GORGEOUS so we've been trying to spend our time outdoors as much as possible!

Last week, on the 12th, Wyatt turned 15 months!  Time is flying!  He is walking, babbling and giving loves to all animals, including books. I love it!

Warm weather means grilling out!  Last week we had turkey burgers {sans buns for me} and sliced sweet potato, baked in the oven.  Super good and easy too!

Bath time is ultra fun for Ethan now that he has his own swimming goggles.  He's been practicing holding his breath under water...eek!

This past Saturday, we had a day date and saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  It's been a super long time since I last saw it and it was just as good as I remember!  My outfit included this new top--it's longer in the back, which is a fun twist--and my new lace-up flats!

The best part?  They served champagne!  ;)

We went to a super cute tapas place called Centro in Reno...the food was amazing!

On Sunday, the weather was just GORGEOUS so we were outside all day...first going to the park!  I mean, I look at that view!

And then next to the river by our house.

Ryan cooked up a crunchy snack...baked chickpeas!  They're healthy too, which makes them a win-win.  You can also make tacos with them, which is super good!

Sunday night we grilled out again and ate dinner on our front lawn!  Be sure to follow us on Snapchat {schuelove} to see more...I seem to be using that more and more!

And before I sign off, I had to share another outfit I recently wore.  I LOVE these slip on booties {can't beat the price either!} and my new peplum top!

If you need us, you'll find us outside!  ;)

Spring in New York // What to Wear

Happy Wednesday!  Thank you SO much for everyone who has been commenting and emailing me ideas and tips for our upcoming New York trip.  We're only going for two nights {super quick trip!} but I hope to pack in as much as possible to really maximize our visit.

I'm already planning by making reservations for top dinner spots and buying tickets for a musical.  And now...I've started to think about wardrobe!

Here's what I have in mind {but by all means, please comment on any style tips!}:

Touring the City

Hat + Sunglass + Earrings + Top + Jeans {also love these} + Saddle Bag + Sneakers

I'm not sure what the weather will be like in early may, but I feel like this would be a suitable look to tour the city.  I'll likely bring my anorak too...it's been my tried and true jacket for cooler weather.

Night out on the Town

We plan to basically eat our way through the city, which means fun dinners and fancy cocktails galore!  Even though it will be spring time, I LOVE these leather inspired pants for a night out on the town.  If a dress is more your thing, check out this beauty!  Very elegant and yet simple.

Sunday Brunch

Of course, no trip to the big city is complete without a proper brunch.  I love this Boho look...I would easily wear this everyday if it was acceptable!

So...am I on the right track?  Do share!

Lately

Life lately has been busy between birthday parties, learning to ride a bike, walking {LOTS of walking} and overall chaos that comes with two boys!  Wyatt will be 15 months tomorrow...and Ethan turns 4 in less than two months...time is FLYING!

We've had some fun birthday parties lately between ice skating, fun zone, and more!  Wyatt loves his accessories right now...whether it's hats or shoes, he is into it.

And I love this mirror....ha!  You can see more of our antics on Snapchat {schuelove}.  And you can buy these flattering jeans here...sorry, skinny mirror not included!  ;)

Ethan has been killing it on the Stryder bike lately, so we are trying to get him used to pedaling.  Hopefully he'll be riding sans training wheels in the coming weeks!

I got this cute new phone case during the Shopbop sale...absolutely LOVE it!

We booked a trip to New York...I've never been before and I am SO excited!  Any tips on where to stay or go...or most importantly, eat?  Please tell me!

Blue Apron has been back on their game lately and this pizza was definitely a hit!  We also recently signed up with SunBasket and like it as well.

Yesterday, Ethan and I went to our first movie together, Zootopia.  He did pretty well...though he had no concept of being quiet and when he wanted something, like oh say M&M's...he would lose his mind if I didn't have it.  Kind of embarrassing...so I coaxed him with froyo after!

Being a tourist in our own town...checking out the Heavenly gondola.

All in all--a successful day!

A couple things...

If you're looking for a great pair of baby or toddler shoes, definitely check out these.  Both our boys wear them and love them!

Just bought this for Wyatt and I think it is too cute for words!  And if I had a girl, I would definitely buy this and this...gah!

This is a super cute toy...both boys love them!  We love most of everything that B. Toys sells in fact!
