Gift Guide // For Baby

I thought I would throw this gift guide up now with all the weekend sales going on!  It's a great time to knock out some early Christmas shopping!

Poppity-Pop Musical Dino {currently 30% off}: We had something similar for Ethan and he loved it.  I think Wyatt would go crazy over the popping balls!

Little Sapling Rattle: Everything goes into Wyatt's mouth at the moment, so why not get him something he can really gnaw on?  Plus, I love that this can be personalized with his name as a keepsake toy.

Rainbow Stacker {currently 20% off + free shipping}: Bright and colorful, and also wood, this classic toy would make for lots of fun playtime.

This Little Piggy Rocker {currently 20% off + free shipping}: I just adore this sweet rocker...totally adorable!

Baby's First Christmas Ornament: Since it's Wyatt's first Christmas, we have to commemorate it with his own ornament.  I love this hand-painted option.

Wooden Ice Lollies: Another super cute wooden toy!

Baby Snowsuit {currently 50% off}: I scooped this up since it's on a crazy sale and it will be great or Wyatt on our winter walks this season.

Jungle Tails Cloth Book: Babies are all about color and texture and this cute book offers both, plus it has a crinkle noise too!

Natural Mini Moo Bubbly Wash: Both boys have pretty nasty skin problems {mostly baby eczema} and most baby products have elements that dry out their poor skin, which only irritates the situation.  We were sent some MooGoo skin products and really love the bubble bath!  If you're all about all-natural products, definitely check them out.

Color & Shape Sorter {currently 10% off}: Yet another adorable and colorful wooden toy!

Freshly Picked Moccs: Honestly the best baby shoes on the market.  They stay on baby's feet and are super cute too!

Squeeze Blocks {currently 29% off}: We got these for Ethan and Wyatt now loves them.  They're fun to build with, or chew on!

What's on your baby's wish list this holiday season?

Thanksgiving Eve

On the eve of Thanksgiving, I'm taking a stroll down memory lane of the last three years...

I can't wait to celebrate with BOTH boys tomorrow!  We're staying in Tahoe and celebrating with Ryan's side of the family.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Christmas Necessities

I know Thanksgiving is this week, but I am in full-mode Christmas around here!  Though, let's be real, I haven't done any shopping yet!  But we have stockings {we went with these and these} and Chrismtas cards are almost ordered, so I would say things are well underway.

We hit up Target over the weekend and I was blown away by all of their cute holiday decor.  If I wasn't in the mood before that trip, I sure am now.  Even the hubby has submitted to listening to Christmas music around here...yay!  :)

I was especially impressed by Sugar Paper's array of holiday wrapping...so many fun prints and colors!  I also love that advent calendar, but they were all sold out!  One last thing I got, but can't find online, is their Vintage Spruce candle that smells exactly like Thymes Fraiser Fir candle, linked above, but is much less expensive!  And no this is not a sponsored post...I just really love Target!  ;)

Are you getting into the holiday spirit?

Gift Guide // For the Wine Lover

Fa la la la la, it must be Christmas time because the holiday gift guides are out in full force!  I decided to kick off this series with one of my favorite topics, wine, because I recently spotted these new single serving wine glasses of rose and was super intrigued!  I haven't tried them yet, but the idea is pure genius!  Other items that intrigue me are these wine pearls--they cool your wine without watering it down...yes please!  And wine wipes!  Because purple teeth are just not ok.

Items I can attest to are the personalized wine charms which make a great gift for the holidays...I used pictures of the boys for family gifts.  And the stemless wine glasses--they are our favorites!  Last--how cute is that wine...ahem, book bag?

Happy Shopping!

Christmas Eve PJ Tradition

This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

The holiday season is the perfect time to snuggle up next to the fire, with homemade cookies, a Christmas movie and of course, cozy pajamas.  As I'm writing this very post, the snow is falling outside and both little ones are down for their nap.  All I need is a glass of wine milk and and I'm set!

Growing up, t's always been our Christmas eve tradition to open a new pair of warm pajamas and read Polar Express before heading off to bed.  Oh!  And leaving cookies out for Santa too!  I'm really excited to continue our tradition this year, especially now that Ethan is old enough to really appreciate the spirit of the holidays.  PS, did you realize that Christmas is less than six weeks away?!  Crazy!  I literally have no time to spare to start our shopping!  Luckily, Carter's has a huge selection of cute holiday jammies to pick from...whether it's microfleece, one-piece or two, baby or toddler...even cozy slippers, they've got us covered!  You can shop the entire selection above here.

And to sweeten the deal, Carter's is offering you a 20% off discount with your $40+ purchase.  Simply use the code: CARTPJ26.  Offer ends on November 30th.  You can locate a store nearby by following visiting this link.

Do you have a fun Christmas Eve tradition?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Happy 10 Months Wyatt!

10 months...as in double digits?!  I feel like I blinked and I have a 10 month old...I don't know where the time has gone!  Life with two boys just gets more fun by the day.  Wyatt is becoming more and more intrigued by his big brother...and all of his toys!  Ethan is pretty patient with him, and really loves to love on him most of the time.  I love to watch them interact and play and know that will only get more fun {and I'm sure challenging!} as time goes on!

One of my favorite milestones this past week is when Wyatt waves at us.  It's a full arm motion and he'll do it as he goes to bed, which is so sweet.  Another fun thing he does now is when he grabs for something he knows he's not supposed to have and I'll say, noooo Wyatt, and he'll just hand it over, all wide-eyed and totally aware.  He'll also cry we {or his brother} take something from him that he really likes--which is usually something of Ethan's.  Last, he's crawling this month, kind of.  He still prefers to army crawl and gets around pretty well with that mode of transportation.

Wyatt is a distracted eater--he seems to prefer sweet potatoes, fruit and prunes...LOTS of prunes.  He also likes puffs.  We need to start experimenting with more food!

Wyatt loves bath time in the big tub, with his brother and he enjoys walks too.  He goes down pretty easily at night and usually sleeps through the night, which is awesome.  Ethan actually wakes up more than Wyatt and thankfully, Wyatt sleeps through most of the commotion.  If he does wake up, we hit him with a bottle and he'll go right back down.

Other milestones this past month include baby's first Halloween, another round of shots, and baby's first snow!

Milestones:

Throws his paci everywhere--out of his crib and his carseat.
Can hold his bottle on his own now.
Started to full-on crawl at 41 weeks
Can hand you an object and take it back
Official weigh in at 9 month appointment: 16.8 lbs, 27.5 inches long
Can pull up on us and other smaller objects...not his crib yet!
Claps his feet together
Does a downward dog with his head planted on the floor
Can wave in response to a wave at 42 weeks!
First Halloween
First snow

We're having so much fun and I just can't believe he'll already be a year in two short months.  Someone please slow it all down, ok??

Second Child Necessities

Before we had Wyatt, I posted about items that I was planning to use once we had two children...see the post here!

Well, now that we have two, I've figured out what we've really needed and wanted to share with you!

From my last post, I was pretty convinced that I was going to get this double stroller.  Then, I thought, nah...we don't really need it.  Ethan rides his strider bike on most walks and it seemed like an unnecessary expense.  However, we found the Bumleride Indie Twin secondhand and we're so happy we got it.  This stroller is much better for all-terrain situations and is still narrow enough to get through the door.  Plus, there's no fighting about who gets to sit where.

Something I hadn't thought about, was having both boys take a bath in the tub.  Wyatt is still becoming sturdy sitting up, so these Puj grippy bath treads really help when they're both in there.  Plus, they're cute!

With Ethan, we used the sleep sheep for white noise, but the noise shuts off after so long.  With Wyatt, we knew we needed something for all night.  This white noise machine is great.  It's small and compact and is ongoing.  This has been an absolute lifesaver, especially with a moody three year old who will wake up at all hours of the night.  Wyatt sleeps through most "outside noise" thanks to this machine.

Wyatt is obsessed with these mini muslin blankets...he sleeps with one every night and I don't worry {as much} with them.  We also swear by our trusty sleep sack--we recently got him the A+A one which is really thick for our cold nights.

This time around, we went with Honest diapers and I've really been enjoying the cute patterns and the wipes that come in the bundle.  For overnight we use Huggies Snug & Dry though...they seem to be more absorbent.

I bought this diaper bag for Wyatt and love it.  It's lightweight, easy to clean and gender neutral.

When Wyatt was in the hospital, we got a MAM pacifier and we really never looked back.  We especially like the glow in the dark ones.

Last, while Wyatt has been using our infant carseat from Ethan, the time will be soon be approaching when we need a second carseat.  Maxi Cosi was generous enough to send us their Pria 85 special edition Ribble Knit version and I am in love already.  It has a built in cup holder {genius!} and is so plush for our little guy.  Can't wait to transition him over {and NOT have to lug around a infant carseat!}.

Do you have favorites for your second child that you love?  Do share!

Loving Lately // Fall to Winter Wardrobe

Stopping in to show you a roundup of some of my favorite fall to winter pieces that I'm loving right now.  I've got the flats in my shopping card {they're an exact knock off of these} and I just love the zipper detail on that dress.  As it cools down, I'm hoping to add this scarf to my collection and that fun pom pom beanie!  Also have my eyes on these, for the snow!

What pieces are you loving to transition you from fall to winter?

On the Hunt for the Perfect Christmas Stocking

Confession: This will be Ethan's fourth Christmas and he does not have his own stocking...

 :: audible gasp ::

I know...I know!  Terrible.  And now it's also Wyatt's first Christmas, so I really need to get it together and find them their Christmas stockings.

I had no problem finding and buying their Easter baskets {Pottery Barn is the only really option, IMO} but for some reason, this seems to be more of a special and permanent decision.

I actually had four coordinating stockings picked out at Pottery Barn Kids...

But of course, I waited to pull the trigger and a couple days later, they started a 20% off promo and all my choices flew off the shelves!  Womp womp!  I don't know if they re-stock for the season {fingers crossed}, but now I'm left scrambling to find a different option.

There are a couple requirements that I have for Christmas stockings:

1. They must be classic.  I want them to last the test of time and be their "forever" Christmas stockings over the years {lots of pressure, I know!}.

2. They must have their names on them.

3. Bigger is better, to stuff with lots of goodies, of course!

So, I ran across these gorgeous stockings at Garnet Hill...

But they are $108 PER STOCKING, which just seems insane to me.  Right?!

I also found these gorgeous stockings at Sundance...

But they can't be personalized and they're also a bit pricey, even though the proceeds go towards a good cause.

So you can see the real predicament that I'm in.  Sigh.  Do you have any shops that you just love for Christmas stockings?!  Please share!

And then the next item to tackle is matching Christmas jammies!  So far, I am pretty underwhelmed by the options out there!

I hope you have a great weekend!

My Top 5 Office Chairs

We're in the middle of designing our new office {my office at work, that it} and I've been having so much fun looking at and picking out our new furniture.  I've come across some good options, so I wanted to be sure to share them them.  Whether it's your work office or home office--or perhaps you're looking to update your dining room chairs--these are all great options to consider.

I am in love with this chair, with its mid century legs and fun curves.  This chair comes in a set of 2 and a couple fun colors too!  Best part is, the price is just right!

Another favorite--the stripes are what gets me with this chair.

Target is just killing it with their clean, modern lines...this chair definitely hits the mark for me.

While not as comfortable, these are super modern, easy to clean, and stylish.  Perfect for the conference room.

If mid century is not your thing, you might love this comfy option.  I really like the clean lines.

Do you have a favorite?

Our Halloween 2015

We had a great Halloween night!  We lucked out with warm {for Tahoe!} weather which was a nice change for trick or treating.  It was also lots of fun having Halloween on a Saturday night, which allowed us to come down from our sugar high on Sunday.  Also--Sunday it was pouring rain all day--so we really scored on our Halloween!  We had fun seeing friends at a Halloween party before heading over to Ryan's family for more Halloween fun.  Emerson also joined us...isn't she the cutest little ladybug?

I hope you all had a great Halloween--and didn't have too hard of a time adjusting to the time change!
